The Beagle

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information The Beagle collects from you, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. We have written it in plain English rather than legal jargon, because you should be able to understand what happens to your data without a solicitor.

Who we are

The Beagle On Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

Registered address: 35 Gay Street, Bath BA1 2NT, United Kingdom
Contact for privacy matters: info@thebeagleon.co.uk

What we collect, and why

At the moment, the only personal data we collect through this website is what you give us when you join our waitlist:

We do not collect any of this automatically. If you do not fill in the form, we do not collect anything about you at all.

Our lawful basis for using your data

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on consent. You give it by choosing to submit the waitlist form, having been told on that page what we will use your details for. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it.

What we will never do

Who processes your data on our behalf

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and store the waitlist. They process data on our instructions only, and cannot use it for their own purposes:

If we later add an email marketing platform to send our newsletter, we will update this policy to name it before we use it.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until one of the following happens, whichever comes first:

After that we delete your details.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email info@thebeagleon.co.uk. We will respond within one month, and it costs you nothing.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also simply reply to any message, or email us, and ask to come off the list. We will not ask you why or try to talk you out of it.

Children

This website and our waitlist are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Keeping your data safe

Access to the waitlist is limited to the owners of The Beagle and the agency that manages our marketing. Accounts holding personal data are protected by strong passwords and, where available, two-factor authentication. This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Nothing that tracks you runs on this site unless you have consented to it. When you first visit we ask, and you can change your answer at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer.

If you consent to analytics, we use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation to understand how people use the site. If you consent to advertising, we use measurement tools from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok so we can tell whether our adverts are working and avoid showing them to people who have already joined the waitlist. Those platforms act as independent controllers of the data they receive, under their own privacy policies. Our lawful basis for both is your consent, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.

Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first at info@thebeagleon.co.uk and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
